Teleseminars

Available on a subscription basis for your employees

Wellness Strategies offers a series of one-hour teleseminars on a variety of wellness topics, complete with Q&A sessions, that are available on a subscription basis. We can schedule them as live discussions on a recurring day each month that is most convenient for your staff. They are also available as downloadable podcasts or on CD for people to "attend" on their own schedules.

Track One – Wellness @ Work 
Hear  the latest information and practical strategies for business leaders on a variety of topics relating to workplace wellness. Some programs emphasize how to design and sustain your company’s wellness program.  Others address critical issues of employee health and productivity.

Track Two – Personal Health and Productivity

Track One – Workplace Wellness

Who should attend: Human Resources and Organizational Development Professionals, Senior Management and other leaders and managers who are responsible for workplace wellness programming.

Wellness Leadership at the Managerial Level
Strong research evidence links employee health and wellness to organizational success. Successful worksite wellness programs require support from all levels of the organization's management team. This session explores four primary wellness leadership functions: (1) Sharing the wellness program vision - Why wellness is important and how the manager can participate; (2) How the manager can serve as a role model; (3) Aligning wellness and organizational culture; and (4) Monitoring and celebrating success. The session will also look at how executives, managers and supervisors can become engaged in supporting their organization's employee wellness program. Led by William McPeck, MSW, CWWPC.

Creating an Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace
Alcohol and drug use and abuse can have serious consequences at a worksite. This session will explore the Drug Free Workplace Model and how it can be implemented in an organization. The session will also look at how the issue of alcohol and drug use prevention can be incorporated into worksite wellness programming Led by William McPeck, MSW, CWWPC.

Bringing the Science of Positive Psychology to Work
This session will explore the psychological and emotional dimensions of wellness from the positive psychology perspective. Mental and emotional wellness are key components of health. The growing field of positive psychology can add to the health of both the individual and the organization. This session will look at the various components of positive psychology and how the research evidence can be applied in a worksite setting. The session will include a theoretical overview and practical applications. Led by William McPeck, MSW, CWWPC.

Communicating at Work
Do you get along with your co-workers? How about your boss? Our Associate, Rhoda Mitchell, will show you ways to communicate with others so that your workplace becomes an easier place to navigate and get along with others.

The Energy of Language
Is your language a source of energy ... or do intense verbal exchanges drain you? In this session, Wellness Strategies Associate Sean Clancy, an executive coach and versatile communicator, will help you discover the hidden power of language. You will learn how to recognize and avoid classic energy wasters in your conversations and exchange them for energy-producing language. During this teleclass we will challenge existing language choices, practice new language to increase your energy, and expand your power to produce maximum results through high quality conversation.

It’s Not About Willpower; Weight Loss for the 21st Century
Of course, eating can be a joyful experience! However, if eating is your primary source of joy and comfort, rest assured you will overeat. On the other hand, losing weight doesn’t have to be about deprivation or taking away. It can be about filling and enriching our lives! Wellness Strategies Associate Wendy Evans, MSW and certified life coach, has designed this program to share some insights into why we eat when we’re not physically hungry and to give you tools to help return food to its proper place ... as FUEL…….well, at least most of the time!
