Getting Started

While we agree with Stephen Covey’s admonition to “begin with the end in mind,” we know it is critical to start with the status quo.

Creating the roadmap to a healthy workplace requires clarity—not only about where you want to end up, but also about your starting point. So, our process begins with gathering information to measure and record the existing condition of your organization and your employees.

Our assessment options include tools and processes to gather both objective and subjective data in order to assess both fiscal and physical realities.

Workplace Wellness Audit

This in-depth assessment provides a comprehensive report on the current state of wellness in your workplace. Factors assessed include:

  • Insurance utilization
  • Impact of current employee benefits programs
  • Current staff development efforts

This statistical data may be enhanced with subjective input gathered through:

  • Observations and interviews
  • Focus groups
  • Organizational climate survey

Based on the data gathered during this due diligence process, our report to management will include our recommendation for strategic priorities to comprise an overall Wellness Initiative. These recommendations will typically fall into the areas of communication, staff development, wellness programming, and employee benefits.

Employee Interest Survey

The reason so many wellness programs fail is because program offerings are not tailored to employee interests. This step is critical to ensure that you implement the programs your employees actually want.  Benefits include:

  • Increased employee retention
  • Heightened employee satisfaction
  • Reduction in turnover
  • Improved company image

Whichever way you want to begin, it all starts with a conversation with Wellness Strategies!
