BARBARA WILSON has been a professional coach, consultant, and catalyst for personal and organizational change for over 20 years. Through her training and facilitation practice, Acorn Learning and Development, she has served a wide array of clients throughout northern New England. She is widely known for her ability to design and deliver on-target programs that improve organizational effectiveness and drive positive change.
Through her successful coaching practice, Barbara helps individuals achieve their potential for personal and professional excellence. She also teaches a certificate program for professional coaches at both the University of Southern Maine in Portland and the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg.
Barbara earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin/Madison, a master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and has over 20 years of management experience in both private industry and the nonprofit sector.
Barbara’s experience includes leadership roles in several health and wellness-related organizations, including serving as Public Information Officer of North Coast Emergency Medical Services and Community Education Director of General Hospital in Eureka, California. She has also served in board leadership roles for both the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association and has created award-winning wellness training and public education programs for schools, communities, and industry. |
DONNA WOOD has long been passionate about health and wellness. As the founder of Wellness Professional Group, she has been dedicated to bringing health and wellness to individuals through positive, healthy lifestyle choices, for over ten years.
Donna began her career in the financial services industry with Wachovia Bank and American Express. She subsequently formed her own company, Results Training Associates, a management education and training firm.
She is also the Director of the Seacoast Office of the Cancer Prevention Coalition. This non-profit organization is dedicated to public education about the preventable causes of cancer. Over the past several years, Donna’s training and community education work have focused on helping individuals and organizations to create healthier homes and workplaces.
Her educational background includes a degree in Management Education and Training from Ohio University, as well as certification in MBTI, the Leadership Practices Inventory, DISC and several other needs assessment tools and programs. She is also a graduate of the Worksite Wellness Certificate Program from the University of Southern Maine. Together, she and Barbara are offering a Workplace Wellness Program through the University of New Hampshire.
