Q: Why does my company need a Wellness Program?
A: The positive impact of wellness programs is well documented in over 70 studies. In that research, there are measurable increases in productivity, improved morale, decreases in absenteeism and lower turnover.
On top of these documented benefits to you as an employer, there are also obvious benefits to your employees, such as improved health, reduced stress, and greater job satisfaction. It’s a win-win!
Q: There are other companies who offer wellness programs. Why is Wellness Strategies different?
A: Three things set Wellness Strategies apart:
- OUR APPROACH TO WORKPLACE WELLNESS
It may surprise you to learn that one of the primary things that needs to change in order to improve employee health has nothing to do with your employees’ personal health habits. In most organizations, it is just as critical for leadership to take a close look at the organizational climate and culture. Only when employees see tangible changes being made on the part of management will they respond in a positive manner. And even more critical, when they recognize that participation in your wellness initiative is in THEIR own best interests, that’s when you’re on your way to success.
- OUR TEAM
Wellness Strategies Associates include dozens of professionals and experts in virtually every health care area of concern to your employees. Our team also includes organizational development trainers, life and leadership coaches, as well as experts in health insurance, financial fitness, and workers compensation.
When you engage with Wellness Strategies, this remarkable team is at your service.
- OUR PHILOSOPHY OF SERVICE DELIVERY
Our goal is to help you create a sustainable program that will benefit your organization for years to come. We provide tools, techniques, and strategies that you can adopt, adapt, and implement on your own -- long after we’re out of the picture.
Q: What if I already have a wellness program in place. How could I benefit from your services?
A: There are a number of options you could choose:
Option 1: One of the best investments you can make to insure and improve the effectiveness of your existing program is to schedule an Organizational Audit. This three-part process will provide you with feedback from your employees; hard data about your current health and wellness-related expenditures; and an objective assessment of your work environment.
Option 2: Our experienced Wellness Team Coaches are available to work with your existing Wellness Team to insure it is operating at peak effectiveness.
Option 3: We can provide Lunch and Learn sessions or other training classes in specific subjects.
Q: What could you do for our Executive Team?
A: Many companies begin with individualized plans for their Executive Team, to make sure their senior management is “walking the talk”. We can start with an Executive Team meeting to find out the commitment level of the members, and get their input on how to ensure the buy-in by their employees.
We could also assign a specific coach to each member to make sure each senior executive is getting a customized health plan, according to his or her own health goals.
Q: Can you plan a Wellness Fair for us?
A: Absolutely! Wellness fairs are an excellent way to jump-start an existing program, or kick-off a new program. We can plan a wellness fair that spans several days for hundreds of employees, or a half-day wellness fair for a small office. We have resources from the local community that will benefit your employees, as well as our team of associates who can bring specialized health benefits to the event.
Q: What if I only want one of your services?
A: Not a problem! We offer our services as a menu from which you can pick exactly what you need or want for your individual needs.
For instance, you might want to start with an Organizational Audit to find out your current “Workplace Wellness Quotient”. We will walk through your organization to analyze its current wellness condition. We can then have your employees complete a Wellness Interest Survey to see how interested they are in participating in a wellness program. That way, you can offer exactly what your employees want.
Q: Some of my employees have special health concerns and don’t want it to be public knowledge. Can they talk confidentially to one of your advisors?
A: Yes. One of the options we offer is personalized coaching sessions with our Wellness Team Coaches, or our health educators. One of these specialists can guide your employee to answers to their questions.
Q: I have a very small company, but I care about my employees’ health. How can I use your services?
A: We are happy to work with any size company. We could start by providing a wellness newsletter for your employees and their families, or offering Lunch and Learn Sessions in-house. With very small companies, we could offer one-on-one coaching sessions once a month where employees could design their own individualized wellness plans.
We would also be glad to work with your local community of resources (chamber of commerce, merchants' association, trade association) to offer our programs in conjunction with others, in order to reduce your costs and effectively utilize available resources.
Q: What if I want on-site programs, such as yoga sessions, weight management classes, etc.?
A: We have Associates and resources to provide on-site classes for your company in a variety of ways. Please contact us to check our availability for before-work, lunch-hour or after-work classes.
Q: Can you plan a Kick-off Event for us?
A: Absolutely! It’s one of our favorite things to do! This is a very smart way to announce your commitment to the Wellness Program complete with an employee picnic, invitation to the families, introduction to us and our Associates, and promotional items to kick-start the program. We work with you to take this event to whatever level of excitement you wish!
